Hi, I'm John Walker, OF COURSE! <I AM AMERICA!> :D Well...

Ive Always been a go-kart lover, ever sense I was like 6 <ill be 17 in 6 days YAY> Ive always wanted one! But because I'm strongly dyslectic at one point in time. teachers/staff had told my parents that I might not even have the focus to ride a bike, nether the less drive a motorized vehicle. So that's the reason why I'm not getting my first Go-kart... TILL Now :D. Muahahaha! No but really, I Have no experience in engines, transmissions, breaks.. Basically I'm a clean slate. BUT! I'm great with computers/coding and software. And electronics all together come to think about it.

Lets get off my life story, before I ramble on...

I don't know where to look for stuff? I can google yes, but its so hard to start off with cheap parts and with a small budget.

Basically I'm drawn between a single seater go-kart a kids dad from a few blocks from me is selling for 80 bucks, needs some work he said. The front axle that connects the strearing, to the bar that connects the wheels is either bent or broken, cant remember what he told me. :) the tires are worn pretty bad and need replacing, Engine is still very good. and its not much for eye candy but its stable and nothing a little rust brush and some paint cant fix :D

Or, Is it better to buy something online? Cause I do want a 2x seater go-kart. And I currently don't own a welding torch. :) not yet of course. < that's on my to buy list.

So If someone would be kind enough to point me to some sites with some starter kits or what not...

PS: my spellings crap. Spell check doesn't always work on my failure as a speller.

Do you have tools? Heres a good list of what you'll need: Tools For Karts

No, No I don't have most of any of those tools, My friend who lives a few blocks from me owns some basic drills, different sizes of wrenches etc. But I plan on building my tools collection as I go threw the process of rebuilding.

In my opinion, a cheap kart that needs some TLC is a good way to get started. You'll learn plenty, get some wrenching experience, and the satisfation of knowing You Did It!!!
Oh, yeah- The thrills of karting, too.

I think I'd go for that one. I don't know what the market around you is, but around here you can't get a drawing of a go kart for $80, much less one that's fixable.
