hey, read this i need help

so i was cleaning up my ryobe 31cc weedeater (string clipper) yesterday cuz it wasnt working. i cleaned out the head, sanded the piston top (good lord that thing was dirty) i bent the spark plug just a hair out so it would start easyer and a few other things. i took it out this morning to try and start it up, it started about the 3rd pull but about 2 seconds later when i let off the throttle it died?! i cant figure out whats rong

Did you give up right after that? Doesn't sound like you did much. :arf:

What about the carb adjustments? Maybe it's running too rich or not enough of an opening on the idle.

imo with an old 2 cycle I'd go for a new sparkplug
