Somehow wandered upon this site looking for some used kart to buy . I had a sears cart many years ago as a teen. looking for something to play with around the house when not tinkering on my Harley or car? lol. Hope to learn whats a good kart and eng to start with. Not into competition racing or anything. just puttin around the hood.

As far as an engine goes, you can't go wrong with a 212cc Predator from Harbor Freight; loads of guys here use them & there's lots of performance parts... if you're that way inclined...

fabroman, thanks for the input on eng. It seems the predator 212cc is the popular eng of choice . We have a harbor freight store about 20 miles from my house, will check them out.

Thanks man, forgot about looking in craigsliist for a frame. a lot better than ebay. most listings are usually too far away.

Craigslist is usually our first suggestion... ebay is sometimes ok for parts, not so much for karts...
