Hey Guys, DIY body?

Hey guys I have some questions I was hoping some one could help me out. I was wondering if any one ever made their own body kit for their go kart. I want to make one but I don't know where to start. I was hoping to make one out of plastic so it's light. Maybe I'm just dreaming but any help or pictures/ info on guys who made their own body for their kart would be great. Thanks!

A kart I built for my ex step kid

fibre glass would be the easyest material

sheet aluminum would work as well but it wouldbe hard to create nice curves with ally

play with insulation foam and fiberglass. kinda like this but not so seriously
