Hey, I am Thomas. I just picked up a custom little go kart.

Its on a custom basic frame with a 5hp power washer motor.

The motor is a Honda GC130.

It starts first pull everytime but there is very little low end power and it has no top end.

Any idea's on where I can get the proper throttle linkage and tips on how to tune it right would be GREATLY appreciated.

ooops, its actually a GC160 motor.

Post some pics of your kart, as well as the tooth count on your axel sprocket and clutch. Looking at that, we can maybe see if your gearing is the problem with your power situation.

Well, I am pretty sure it's just the carb. But I was over at harbor freight and they had 6.5hp motors on sale for $40!!!

I snagged one and will go back today for a couple more.
