My names AJ I'm from Nebraska, I'm joining because i don't know jack about go-karts. It's pretty obvious that you guys know lots lots lots more than i do. I'm planning on building a go-kart. I know this is going to sound rather dumb but i really want to build a R6 kart or R1. Yes I know sounds dumb sounds crazy, but I'm dumb, I'm crazy:auto:....really crazy:2guns:. I'm going to post a seperate thread though. Great to meet you all!

Good to meet you too, and welcome to the forum! There's a wealth of info available here, and some great guys, too.

If this is your first project, you might want to try something a little milder to begin with. What you currently have in mind has all the hallmarks of a Darwin Award winner if you're not careful! Be safe- Nothing kills a good time faster than a trip to the E.R., and death just sucks.

I've been working on cars all my life with my dad, and brothers. I haven't welded much so that part I will not trust myself with. I'm interested in anything with a motor basically. I respect power from whatever it comes from. I'll be honest I like being alive so safety with any project I intend to do will be a must. (Pretty obvious for anyone) I've had one cart when I was little and it was a blast. Tiny engine don't even remember what it was I was so little...I've been pursuing a career in automotive technology. But I don't know if its truthfully for me yet. I'd love to think projects will be inexpensive but we all know this isn't true and to many things go wrong unless you're the luckiest man on earth. I'm not sure what else to tell but that's me and I look forward to hearing from you guys, since you all seem pretty welcoming unlike 3/4 other forums where everyone's a tool.

Welcome bro! One day when I have a job and all of that, I intend to make an r6 too. If I could make money out of thin air like the federal reserve I would already have one :stir:

Its always good to be dumb and crazy. I am indeed crazy. And pretty dumb. But am I stupid now? Nawww, thats where the border is placed.
