Don't think it's anything special, but only gave $100.00 for it. Just wish I could get it to run:furious2:

My money is on the carb, but, i bet it has low compression as it looks like it was ran without an air filter

Man, that little Manco is going to be one heck of a fast kart if you put a reasonably sized motor on it, even as just a frame and assuming the engine wont run you got a good deal.

In theory almost anything is possible but by the time you end up making a kart that runs with that engine you'll have basically nothing left from the original frame. It will be a new creation with basically nothing left. Those engines need much more space than is offered and a great deal of bracing.

Lots and Lots of bracing.... you dont want to end up like the guy from Final Destination 3, that has the fan cut through his head...

Also at that size, you will need a decent firewall....

Yup, figured that out. Sat it on the frame and it looks really cool, but is just too stinkin' huge and the exhaust exits 'bout 1/2 inch from the back the seat.

Soooo, we are back to getting the 3.5hp running. Still getting no fuel from the bowl to the engine.

If you decide to use it... I hope you like extra crispy... because you will be more crispy than Southern Chicken...

Thought the wheels would look decent in flat black. A lot better than the fake chrome the PO sprayed them

All in primer and almost dry.

Decided to start on the frame while I mentally cool off from trying to figure out the stupid engine ! !

My oldest daughter has convinced me to paint the frame dark purple. Amazing how little eyes looking up at you can sway your decisions so much. So purple it is. I figured we go a step beyond. The seat and bar cushions will be recovered in purple metallic vinyl (picture Schwinn stingray banana seat) ! It will be nothing but bold !

I bet the kart will look great! Sounds like you may have a cracked pickup tube or clogged passage, possibly the pickup tube as well. 3.5Hp i'snt much. Their are a lot of mods for a briggs 5HP and the 6.5HP Harbor freight clone. If kids will be riding the kart I would advise you do not pull the governor unless you add a Billet Rod, which im sure is unavailable on the 3.5HP engines anyways.
