Hello. Im not so new user, just wondering, if i could use a electric trimmer motor to power a off road go kart. It spin at 10k rpm a minute, has like 2 hp, and like 40 newton meters of torque. You really are an Elon Musk fan aren't you? You need to ask him about some discount batteries, what you're wanting to do will take a bunch of power.

Folks have tried trimmer motors before, IIRC the biggest hurdle is connecting a sprocket or pulley to it.
...& the motor from Amazon requires 240V of AC power (like house/garage power/current, not from a battery pack)

I'd go with a simple 48V 1,000W MY-1020 brushed motor
...you can get a whole kit (motor controller & throttle) for ~$100.00
...& (4) 12V 12AH SLA batteries (to power it) for ~$100.00 too

yee im a BIG fan but i just found my familys old trimmer, its got a 350w motor which is smol, so its not beacuse i dont like gasoline, its just dont want to be in prison.
