I've been a go kart enthusiast for a few years now, and just recently i built my own frame. I'm getting things together somewhat nicely, but I have a question about something I've never dealt with: tires.

I'm not 100% sure about what the numbers on tires mean and everything, and so just to be safe and sure, I would like some more "professional" help.

It's an off-road go kart, for quite difficult terrain, so i need the ground clearance of larger tires. I was looking at these and they look like about what I need. My questions are:

Would these tires work for me?
What kind of rims fit these?
and most importantly, would you be willing to show me the tires and rims that you suggest would work the best for me?

I'm using standard hubs. Tires that fit on there now are 4.10/3.50 x 5, but i need much bigger for the clearance.

Thank you so much in advance.

They look pretty tuff, what kind of terrian? 145 X 70 X 6 that is the size/ dementions of the tire. The last one it the rim size. so its 6 inch. Maybe get an 8 inch rime that would make the total hight about 12 and about 4 inches of travle.

risto, 145x70x6 tires are approx 14 1\2 inches in diameter, 7 inches wide with a 6 inch dia. rim. they are too wide for the rim you showed. you would need a rim prolly 6 inches wide for them. you also want to go up in hub size with wheels that big. i forget the size you want, but its the same for a golf kart wheel. in fact golf kart wheels would be perfect.-phil:D
