So I have a trike I picked up, decided to tear it down and redo it. It's a custom made frame.
I have some new 16x8-7 knobbys for the rear, yes they are 7" rims.
The front won't fit anything that wide, it fits a 6.5" I believe.

So is there a 16" tall tire I can mount on a 6" rim?

If not, I have a 7" rim that's only 5.75" wide that I can use but I can't find a 16" tall, 6 or 6.5 wide tire for it.

I just want the trike to sit even, and not have a teeny front wheel that the trike slopes forward.

You can put a tire on a rim that is wider or narrower than the rim. For example, an 8" wide tire would fit on a 6" wide rim, and a 5 inch wide tire would also fit on that rim.

Also,:useless:

So with that in mind...is there a tire that will match the rear tire height of 16" with a 6" width?

Well 15" is 1 shorter than 16", so from the axle to the outside is 1/2" shorter, so in theory it should sit half an inch shorter than a 16" tire would. i also think a little depends on the rim width, because I have 2 different sets of 16x6.50-8 tires on rims and one set has more tire height. I'm not sure how wide the rims are but that might affect how tall the tires sit.

Makes sense if the tire is stretched it will be shorter.
