I am in the process of putting a 6.5 Greyhound in my son's DB30 and before I could get it installed, he decided to disassemble the carb linkages - he's young, but thought he could manage to put it back together - and cannot. I build motorcycles from the ground up, but cannot seem to figure this thing out! I can't find pics to show me how it goes back together - I have the plate and the lever assembled, just don't understand how the lever connects to the governor rod assembly - so that when you move the lever it controls the throttle.
Also - when I flip the grey lever (choke) to the open position the motor goes apesh*t crazy fast... is there a way to fix that? If I have the linkages hooked up correctly will that automatically remain under control?
I am just looking to get it back to where it was when it came out of the box - once I get it to that condition, I can install the throttle cable - I have read a ton on that.
I really appreciate anyone willing to take some pics and explain how everything fits together like it came stock.
Great forum! Thanks in advance for any assistance!
