Help with custom kart

I am not sure on what kart this is but the engine that is on it will absolutely have no issues with what I want to do with it. But the engine that on it is a 89 r750 Suzuki motorcycle engine straight four the engine run just have to rebuild carbs or clean them. But I need help figuring where to put the shifter and clutch handle in a different spot I'm redoing the harness it looks like crap any advice would be great I traded a 150cc carter talon for this all it need was a clutch but wanted bigger badder and much faster ltr on down the road was planning on stretching frame making it a four seater and widening the frame with better suspension

Man that thing is a hot mess. I'm sorry, but you just bought yourself a giant steaming pile of crap. There's a lot more to worry about than moving the shifter and rewiring it.

Got an air cooled engine where it can't get any air
Got the oil cooler mounted 2" in front of the header where it also won't get any air, so it will probably heat the oil more than it cools it
The header pipes are almost crushed flat to make that bend
The welds are just awful
I'd be frightened to see what's on there for engine mounts
Sprocket is welded to the axle
What's it got for brakes?
Massive amount of unsprung weight in the rear.
That frame and suspension is not appropriate for that engine.
The frame will be even less appropriate if you start hacking it up to make it wide and longer.

Now, the big question is how are your fabrication and mechanical skills? IMO, this thing is something that a professional who has the ability to do it right would want nothing to do with, knowing that it would be better, and probably easier to start from scratch.

I am honestly not trying to be rude, insulting, or an a-hole, but the fact that you even bought this thing in the first place, and your proposed future plans for it, suggest that this project is probably beyond your reach.

Well dadgum, anickode is right. You're gonna cook that engine not to mention, sheeeeit, 4 cylinders and 4 carbs. What a hassle.

I figure you gotta take both seats out for an unobstructed air flow to the engine, then mount them to the top of the roll cage. Yeah, that's the ticket. Think of the grand view you'll have up there.

Maybe ditch that engine and find a liquid cooled engine of similar power and mount the radiator up front or somewhere in the slip stream.

As for the rest of us, we got it good; running small engines with forced-air-cooling built right in.

Oh y'all are giving advice witch great I know the oil cooler has to be moved (that's a must) I have 10years in gas diesel and motor cycle engine I may ditch the frame work but rebuild the engine compartment it needs alot of work I have big torches and stick welder and tons of knowledge on that and engines no problem there. I'm rebuilding the harness now as we speak but it's time consuming. The cooling of engine I have thought on a forced ram air off the sides while riding (ram scoopes) while idling I have a set of 10 inch fans I was going to mount in front of engine with temp controller or wired to ignition. I haven't decided yet lol.

It has disc brakes but going to replace with bigger disc brakes and better and for the exhaust I'm gonna custom it out the sides then to the back

Rig it to a foot actuated clutch, get a push/pull setup for the shifter via paddle shift on the steering wheel.
