i don't think i will add front brakes i will test it out and if i need front brakes i will add them, i will have really good back brakes, the tires are 22-11-8 and 20-7-8 so decent size, the plans call for 18 inch balloon knobby tires, im paying 50 bucks so that saves me alot, plus i can get ATV tires from my local Honda dealer, i plan to drive the go kart on ATV trails so bumps, rocks, puddles, creeks, etc. i will be using a 200cc dirt bike engine, on the brakes i will buy a long flexible brake line and attach the master cylinder right to the back of the peddle, for safety sake, i will add a roll cage that will have alot of cross bracing so it is very strong, i have a 5 point racing harness for it, i am waiting for my dad to come home from work to order me the plans, or i will get him to tell my mom his Paypal password, i cant wait to start building, should i do build up videos like tmansgokarts does or should i take a bunch of pictures and video clips, i have 400 on me and 105 coming from my goggle ad-sense, and my dad will kick in what ever else i need, also i have to chose from a 200cc dirt bike engine or a 6.5hp clone with tav2 but with the Honda clone setup i will need a large rear sprocket and that will cut away from some of my ground clearance with the dirt bike engine i can use alot smaller sprocket

I would start your own personal build-thread. Don't worry about making videos of you building it... you will soon learn that there just isn't time if you want to finish your Arachnid within a few months. You are doing well pre-planning so far. Once you start welding, I would start your build-thread, so we can all watch. You have a fun looking engine... with its own built-in gearing... should make for a pretty awesome looking project!

Our karts do pretty well off road. Right now, I can't give you a lot of feedback on steering, seeing as I just haven't had any freeeking time lately work work on them. The tie-rod heim joints need to be closer to the spindle, to allow for tighter turning, and now that the suspension has been "tested" by us, we need to probably move a couple weldments... which may impact our Toe and Camber... BUT as of right now, we have no complaints. They are good karts... if anything... they are just BIGGER than we thought, but thats our own fault for using such big tires.
