I have a briggs intek 190 motor #121432.
Today I opened the side cover to remove the Plastic Gov. gear.
Apparently when I removed the cover the gear on the crank that turns the cam gear slipped away from the cam gear. No big deal but... When I was removing the governor flap I turned the crank to get clearance for the flap. So the crank gear turned differently than where it was on the cam. I think now my timing will be wrong. How do I reset it correctly? Thanks

I'm not totally sure how it is on a briggs, but there should be a timing mark on both the camshaft gear and the crankshaft. Line these up, they should look like dots, i'm pretty sure.

Ok there is definitely a dot on the crank gear. but it is hard to say on the plastic cam gear.

almost.. move one notch over..

the dot on the crank, and the groove on the cam gear need to line up.
(groove should be where the small tab is ..)
