Hi from birmingham england, im looking to build a go kart this summer and im wondering what materials, tools and components i need to get started. Im looking to build a simple cart that u can just start manually and then drive with little or no electronics involved. What sort of engine would i need to get get a good sence of speed when im using it?

most karts are simple, it's up to you to decide which kind you like and how much you are willing to spend in time and money. sense of speed is changeable as well as power. 6.5hp is often enough for most people. most prefer tha auto tranny otherwise known as a tav2 or torque converter. comet and max-torque both make them, you can find comets for 170 (U.S.) plus shipping. tally ho!
