Hi how's it going? I am very new to this kind of thing and have run into a problem. I was given an old thunderkart that didnt run. So i went purchase a 6.5hp greyhound with the same specs as the tecumseh 5hp that was on it. The only problem is i have no idea how to hook the throttle up on this one. Has anyone had to do this before?

2 things you can do. Mine was super easy and fast. But had problems with the gov on a new motor.
You need to put a spring from the gov arm to the bolt that holds the ground wire on
Look at the pull start and right there it is.

I had problems like I said I had to pull the gov out of the motor because it would surge bad like. When I looked at the gov before I pulled it Everything was really loose. That made up my mind to pull it.
Parts you will need.
Small U-Bolt Tractor Supply or Northern Tool around $2
Cable Tie Tractor Supply or Northern Tool around $3
Spring Napa $5 for a set of 5
And a 5/16-24 bolt 3/4 or 1" from ace hardware. under a buck
Some zip ties anywhere had them.
