I need to draw a political map of Germany by Photoshop. First I open a ready map of Germany with Photoshop (in .bmp format). So I follow the boundaries of the ready map by Freeform Pen Tool. Then I erase the ready map by Eraser Tool how, just my drawing exists. Now, when I save as this in .bmp format, only a blank picture is saved. please help me for drawing the map.

Try saving as a jpeg
thanks for replying. I did this but its also blank. I am a new user in photoshop. I think because of detecting my drawing as a Path (not line), it saves nothing.
Maybe bring the picture in as a jpeg or pdf. I just tried it on a bmp that I have, and it saves fine

I think I know what is your problem.
You need to execute the stroke toll to draw a outline of the map you made with the pen tool, that is possible while you have the marquee tool active you press the right click on your mouse and select "Stroke".
It will ask you what other pen you want to use to make the outline, select the paintbrush as it will leave a nicer finish with round edges.
Just be careful not to have the paintbrush in a too thick brush or you'll have a drawing with little to none detail.
