Help On Carter 2236 Jackshaft Housing Fix

Sadly this is my first gokart project and it seems to be a bad place to start but I have it so time to fix it. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

As for use of Pillow blocks, they can be useful. They are kinda finicky to setup, but you need the space to work with them, aswell as make sure your TC spacing is correct... Overall easier than trying to find/make another housing like above, if yours is worn out...

I have the same problem with the same kart. I've attempted pillow blocks but there is just way to much movement.

I immediately got the wrong idea from the first post, telling me not to get the wrong idea.
Seemed to be missing subject and verb.

Anyhow, BMI seems to have the raw materials, plus a few prefabricated setups, even used parts like this that could be adapted:
