Help measuring crank shaft on Honda GX160

Hi guys new to this forum hope I'm not asking the same question hundreds already have but I've had a look and can't find it so here goes. I've got a honda gx160 engine that I took off a concrete poker and I want to build it into something, a kart or bike I haven't decided yet but when looking for a clutch I can't work out what size the crankshaft is. I'm watching a reduction gearbox on eBay that ends in a few hours but it says it takes a 20mm input from the crankshaft. Now this one measures between 19/20mm. Not sure how accurate my verniers are as they were given to me from a friend. Have a look at the pics and tell me what you think please. Hope the pics are of good enough quality for you. Thanks in advance.

I think it's a seller- mistake;
the gearboxes at ebay (australia: 350489456377; UK: 360698020097) both fit the GX160 engine.

I've never seen a 20mm shaft on any GX160/200 yet, even the european models are 3/4"

Ahem...

Have a look at this post which describes my GX160 shaft being 20mm; I had to turn it down to fit the 3/4" clutch...

I just went & measured the shaft in my GX140 with digital verniers; 19.9mm (round figures)

Hey, everyone's allowed to be wrong once in a while :lolgoku:

My guess is that, for the North American & European markets, they're 3/4" but, for the Australasian market, they're 20mm

Thanks for the help guys. I'm watching a centrifugal clutch now which will get me going. Just out of interest how much is a second hand reduction box worth? This one didn't get any bids on it so I might just buy it to sell on if I can get it cheap enough.

depends, originals are really expensive (almost as expensive as an original Honda GX160)
There are chines copies that can be had for a fraction of the cost (just as clone engines) new.

So, say it's an original reduction gearbox in good working condition, then about the same as an original GX160 in about the same condition.
(what ever that is in your region)
