There could be a lot of issues with that long of a chain. I'd suggest something different, give me a minute to sketch something up.

EDIT: Ok, I got lazy and didn't draw the front end drive. You'd probably need to put differentials on each end so that it would turn much better and save wear on the drive line. Red boxes are RAGBs.

yup i considered the long chain but a few guides should keep it on course i would think. Im running a seperate peerless transmission to the diff so i also considered using one with dual outputs. i have one on my track bike and alot of zero turn mowers use them. But theres the issue of running the front chain down and around the engine. Im running the engine up front and the tranny between my legs. making these things as simple as possible and easy to work on is the main objective. since its all custom you know your going to be fiddling with it for a while

Most 2 stage (not just 2 stroke but impeller and expeller for moving snow) snowblowers have them as the PTO points forward to spin the expeller and then turns via a RAGB to spin the impeller. 1 stage blowers are often the smaller 3HP-ish models and have the PTO mounted horizontal to the impeller.

2 stage (you can see the gray RAGB as well as expeller):

1 stage (intake auger also forces snow out):
