another question......The steering wheel makes a loud vibrating noise unless i press down on the wheel, like it's loose or something, is there anything i can do for that? Like it vibrates in that pipe it's in.

The 5th item on that list is a rebuild kit, it looks like you don't have any pads left.

It's not too difficult to do, but you probably are going to have to take the axle off. I had to on my kart.

Also, is there a spring on that pedal? I can't tell.

I'm not to sure on the steering wheel.

I am going to say that you don't have to take the axle off to fix the brakes. You should just be able to unbolt the caliper from the frame and then fit new pads. I don't see why you will have to remove the axle. The disk looks fine.

Gocartgirl - I would unbolt it from the frame and maybe post a few more pics off it off so that we can get a better look. Can you do that?

That's an airheart mechanical "floating" caliper. It doesn't bolt to the frame. It slides on to that bracket and thedisc keeps it from flying off. The reason I had to take off my axle was because some genius welded the disc on to it. (Dear god, don't get me to cussing again :Angel_anim:)

Anyways, I should have clarified in my last post, you SHOULD be able slide the disc out of the way through an unlocking screw. Don't lose your keystock.

Define "press down"; as in down the shaft or down towards the ground?

Get hubby to put some grease between the bushes (that pipe it's in) & the shaft
