Somebody please help me. Trying to drain and replace the gear oil on my son's 2022 dong fang 200cc two-seater go-kart. Could somebody please help me locate the drain plug. And please send picture to help me, I'm a self taught YouTube graduate mechanic, and don't know all the engine lingo and parts. Please help a girl out! Greatly appreciate it.

The gear oil as in the final reduction or do you mean the engine oil?

I think the gy6 drain plug is on the bottom of the crank case.

The final reduction box will probably have 2 plugs. One is a drain and the other will be a fill / level.

Help us out and post some pics of what you have. Preferably several from different angles. Dont get too close but dont take them from across the yard either. Lol.

Hope Beck figured it out. I'm sure there's 1 or 500 YT videos on the topic. Sometimes it helps to eliminate the specific things like "Dongfang" from your search and just enter "200cc go kart transmission"

The 150cc engine and the 200cc engine are basically the same engine except the 200cc engine is water cooled. Refer to this manual and scroll to Section 2-4 then pages 11 and 12. Drain plug location, oil recommendation and capacity are shown.

Ugh, need a cross reference list of Manco/American Sportworks/American Landmaster fun vehicles that are otherwise China buggies and use these engines. There were a few of them, I understand, that existed before they revamped and got out of the fun kart business...

So many of these are mis-advertised as 200cc, but in reality are 150cc/175cc or thereabouts and/or are in no way water cooled, or so it seems.
