Hey there! I picked up some older karts to rebuild. One I have the info on (its a Manco 285) but the other just said "U.S. Eagle I" on it. It was a red frame with the sticker on the rear. Any idea of the manufacturer or model? Just curious in case I need to get parts for it. I know the wheel wells are NOT stock and were added by the previous owner.

The red kart is quite a HOG. I mean look at all that extra metal on the end and the overbuilt frame in general.

Red kart looks like a Carter Brothers kart of some kind. Again, all the U.S. manufacturers went defunct/sued out of existence by angry parents when their kids were hurt. Some domestic-kart parts are still around out there in cyberspace but just a few.

Got more pics? Can't tell much from just one.

Look for manufacturer or ID decals under the rubber mats and elsewhere.

Looks like an opportunity for a big-block engine. You don't have to worry about the frame breaking!

I'm guessing it's one of these.

That eagle sticker on the rear is the only thing that had any markings. I know red is the original color.

I have other pics but they are after I started painting it:

Interesting find there, and I would have guessed that too.
In any event this kart seems unique and unusual. I misread the pic on first glance and thought it had more round tubing on it than it really did. It is primarily square tubing....(d'oh!)

It very well could be an Eagle kart and the person you spoke to just doesn't know what they're talking about. Old product and new employee kind of thing. 🤷‍♂️
