Im new to the forum. I just picked this cart up (no engine) for $100 from a friends father who had it. It was out in the middle of the yard with weeds grown up around it... he says its been sitting there since the late 70's or 80's. I do not know how realistic that time frame is but the cart appears to be all original minus the engine. Can anyone identify the year, brand and model? Or any other information? I want to restore it for when my little girl gets old enough to have (or just because I am interested myself). Any info on where to get replacement decals as well would help.

Thanks in advance!!

Paul.

Hi, :welcome2: to the forum, you could get stickers form a decal shop or, online you can search for custom stickers or decals and you should have something come up. For an engine you could either use a b&s 5hp flat top or a 6.5hp harbor freight predator clone.

:cheers2: and good luck

Thanks for the response! I have noticed the harbor freight engine mentioned quite a bit on the forum... I take it they are a decent enough engine??

And thanks for the advice.

When I was pressure washing the frame yesterday I found a sticker with the manufacturer name, address, etc... and the serial number! But I forgot it in the garage so my anticipation will have to wait until this evening. I took the body off and took the frame apart to get it all sand blasted then I will repaint. Ill post progress pics in another thread. I should have this thing restored in 1 to 2 weeks. I get obsessive and an afternoon project turns into taking up all of my spare time. It is fun... obviously if there is a forum designated for karts!
