HELP!!! go kart wont start

a while ago i took off my govenor and now when i tried 2 start it up yesterday it wuldnt start......i replaced the sparkplug but i think the problem is probely internal cause im getting good spark....its a powerfist 6.5hp(honda gx200 clone)
can anyone help?

what exactly did you do while taking off your gov? pics?

i bypassed it...i'll get pics as soon as possible

has it bean in storage? i have heard that by passing the gov could do damage so actually removing it is much safer. is it getting a spark? does it run on choke?

do you have the basics needed for your engine to fire.

Spark----yes
petrol/gas
air

I take it that it has good compression, and since you didnt disturb it too much its probably something simple.

I think your "bypass" method needs further explanation. Did you put the timing chain back on exactly aligned?

it doesnt have a timing chain it uses push rods. check the timing on your cam and crank line up the two little dots
