HELP!!! go kart wont pull!

I have recently built my own go kart and decided to use a predator 212 engine. Yesterday it was running fine, but now the pull start has lots of resistance. occasionally when I try to pull it the engine backfires, or I will see grey smoke coming out the muffler. The engine is only about 3 weeks old, and I have not modified it in any way.

yes there is oil in the engine.

Don't bother with it at all.
Take it back and get a new one.

I got him banned from HF, no more worries!

Don't bother with it at all.
Take it back and get a new one.

Drain the oil and gas out of it before you take it back, or you will be making another trip to dispose of the fluids. They like them empty at HF.
