Help finding parts

Please, Any advice on how start this engine up.

Fuel, compression and a spark are all you need.

How long do you estimate it has been sitting?
If it's all unknown (a mystery engine), fresh oil would be a good place to start as well as fresh gasoline. Can of starting fluid is also very useful.

I wouldn't worry about the oil till you know it runs.

If I had it?
1 does the pull rope roll the engine over and retract?
2 is there any oil in it?
3 pull spark plug and ground body and pull rope? Spark?
4 put finger over plug hole tightly, pull rope, compression?
5 condition of gas tank? Clean?
6 carb will most likely need rebuild/cleaning.
6a try carb as is, will gas fill bowl, or flood out?
7 put choke on and pull rope. Any gas getting in there?
Remove air cleaner to see
8 if no gas carb is dirty or fuel line clogged
9 try the starting fluid? Just a quick shot, try to run?

If that fails remove engine send it to me and go buy a rota-derp.
