Hi everyone, I am just a fan of karts, sometimes drive with my friends, but haven't got my own one. I came to say hi to you folks and ask your opinion on 2 helmets. A friend of mine is building his own cart and he's recently had it painted (orange + black). I wanted to present something to him as his b-day is coming. I wanted to ask you, whether the Just 1 helmets are good? That's the one I was looking at and it is within the budget.
Just 1 Youth J32 Pro Kick Helmet (orange w/black).
Alternatively, I consider this helmet off amazon:
Answer 2017 Evolve 3 Helmet
That's pretty much the reason, why I decided to post here, as I cannot judge about helmets based on my experience as I have 0 lol
On the other hand, I don't really want to present something that will never be used. So, any help is appreciated!

A helmet needs to fit perfectly; and that's not just about size (circumference of the head)..

I tested at least two dozen helmets in the past months (all the correct size of course)
since mine needs to be replaced.
and unfortunately just two made it in the second round (didn't start to hurt after 2-5 mins)
A helmet that's headache inducing is worthless and no, they do NOT "wear in"

So IDK if buying a helmet as a birthday present is a good idea.
Also I'm not a fan of shipping helmets...
a single packing gorilla and the brandnew helmet is unsafe to use the minute it arrives at the door.

Rather.. find a local store and have your friend test a few helmets (say ask him to join you for you to test some, then talk him into trying a few)
Once he found a good fitting one, remember size and make ... then go from there.
And if it's within budget buy a gift card for that shop rather than from an online store.
(there are helmet keyfobs desclocks and toys to pack for his birthday ;))

I personally don't know any of the two companies;
Just1 at least rings a bell, but that doesn't mean much since I don't remember actually trying one.

So find a helmet test where the models are tested...
and take a look at how they performed safety wise.

Oh I see, I thought things will be easier with helmets. I'm glad I posted here, I guess a gift card will be a better present then.... Thanks for the input, sir! At least I won't spend money on something that will be of no good for him.
