Welcome indeed!
for all I know the chicago electric is the same beast in a different dress that I have...
check if you have a sticker on it with the model number TM130 or one that says "made in italy"
if so.. it's the one I have from TigMig
I know TigMig sold redressed welders to HF to be rebranded in the past IDK exactly what models though;
going by the pics of a CE Flux 125 on the internet the controlpanel is an exact copy of mine for some
(on-off, min-max, 1-2 switches and a wire feed regulating knob)
No, it's not a good welder.. but it surely is a
good enough welder to fuse a kart chassis reliably.
the wire feed is a bit finicky to get setup correctly.
prefere the lower wire size roller in case of an in between wire size
(0.6mm and 0.9mm roller.. my wire is 0.8mm and can only be fed reliably with the 0.6mm roller)
duty cycle is *cough* mediocre at best, but with a bit of patience it's okay,
especially for inexperienced welders (like me for example)
the low duty cycle only adds time to check what mayhem you caused so far .. so it's almost a win
Penetration is -as far as I'm concerned- in it's highest setting (max-2) good enough for ~5mm material
so way more than you'd need for a std kart frame tube.
