Hi,
New to the forum from Lake Elsinore, CA
Trying to build a kart out of an old indy car style kart. I just installed a greyhound 6.5 that I picked up at Harbor Freight for 74 dollars. I have it installed, but when I go to full throttle the motor sounds like its hitting a rev limiter. It does not seem to be revving that high, does anyone know why it would do this? Is that actually the 3600 rpm that the Governor is restricting to? For a 6.5hp motor, it does not seem to have much power. Do I need to do the Governor mod to fix this problem? And input is appreciated, Thanks
