Hello y’all from Vegas. I’m currently working on my first high performance engine and I felt there was no better place to get information than from you guys. To start I do just have one question about the carb. I’m not sure what size to get. I was looking at This carb in a 26 or 28 mm. For some background I’m using a 212 non hemi predator with a 356 cam, 32/28 valves with 60lb dual springs and 1:1 champion rockers. My goal is for an engine that is mainly good for top speed and drag races.

What brand, or style of carb are you talking about. I have a couple of built predators. One has a 22mm round slide Chikuni. The other has a 24 mm flat slide real Makuni. I have heard of people running 28 mm on 212's. Low end throttle response probably won't be very good but I doubt that it matters for your intended use. Which ever you go with, the real brand Makunis are worth the extra money compared to the Chinese copies. I will NEVER buy another Chikuni.

Yeah forsure never wanna go with the Chinese carbs. Yeah I don’t care too much about low end as I’m going to be running about a 3:1 gear ratio already. I’m pretty sure it’s a product from pauls karts which I’m my history ordering heads through him seems pretty quality. Do you know what kind of difference there is between a d slide and flat slide?

Just in reading advertising from GPS. They claim that the flat slide is better. I am very satisfied with my 24 flat slide. You've got a little more cam than mine, and I'm running stock 25 & 27 valves. I think you probably should go with the
28 flat slide. You can always lean out the jets if it's a little fat. With that big of a intake valve, you need the big size.

Dreaming???

60lbs valve springs in a predator 212 non hemi block????

You got a custom frame for that 3rd bearing support to hold that block together, with 60lb valve springs???

You wanna be competitive in mini bike small block drag racing????

Get a real engine and don't waste your time or money on small cubic inch junk blocks.

I get wood jus watching a blueprinted, well built GOVERNORED 196cc clone walk off and leave a big headed, over carbed, over cammed, over priced, under powered, throwed together wanna be a drag queen 212, 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂

Good luck with that, I take it you didn't talk with ole4.

Who’s ole4? And if I wanted a bigger engine I would’ve put a bigger engine doesn’t take a big brain to realize that a 263 cc is gonna have more power capability than a 212 predator. If I blow the motor I blow the motor that’s that but ion know y ur being disrespectful bout it. If u think I should get smaller springs just say that no need to come at me like rhat
