Hi! I recently brought home a beat up Twister Hammerhead 150 carcass with a parts quad for engine/trans and whatever else...naturally I stumbled across this forum and can't wait to get started! I'm just lurking now and gathering intel before I get started. Also, if anybody has a source for some used hammerhead parts, please let me know! Especially a rear swingarm!!

TIA!

I actually moved here from Texas, and rather like it...but I definitely understand why people leave.

And I do have mechanical skills, some paint and body, hack welding, etc...so I think I can do alright with this project. My bigger limitations are time and money!

Thank you for the warm welcome, I'll get some pics ASAP!

Welcome! I have a hammerhead twister that I am upgrading the steering on right now. My 11 year old daughter drives the wheels off of it. She is either full throttle or full brakes, nothing in between. The first thing to go out if it is used (abused) hard, is the steering. The tabs that connect the tie rods to the spindles. the tires on the front of it are the rear tires and rims from a 3 wheeler (22x11.00x10), that helps it break stuff really fast:roflol: Narrower tires will be put back on soon. More power puts alot of stress on the steering...

Caleeforney huh?

Welcome to the forum!

I'd ditch that quad engine and find something like a 16 horse diesel and shim the snot out of the injector. Put a 2" chrome stack sticking straight up off the back and roll coal.

There is nothing KaLiFoNiA likes more than someone rolling coal*. :D
