Hello from VA Beach Va

Hello all
I am building a kart for my son, I have an old Manco Kart that I bought back in 2006 but never really worked on. It is just a rolling chassis, no engine. I plan on painting it and putting a 6.5 hp engine on it. My plan now is to paint it flat black and paint the rims flat black as well. I dont have a lot of time to work on it because I am in the Navy and my schedule revolves around my job.
I would love any and all advice

Welcome to the forum Screendoor. I always end up liking Satin Black better than Flat. It still hides surface imperfections better than Gloss and doesn't seem to oxidize as fast as flat.

that sounds good, thx. the kart is an old manco and it is really nice. it has a detachable leather seat, maybe pleather, but i cant tell. My dad is bringing it to va when he comes from ky on thanks giving. I will post pics. maybe someone can tell me what madel it is. cant seem to find any other cart that it looks like. however it will be pretty sweet once it gets painted and running. I will probably have tons of questions when it gets here.

I just got a couple of Manco karts myself last saturday

I found on mine, theres a little sticker thingy with a model number etc, thats how i figured out what mine are. Have a look and see if you can find one on yours, although it could very well be worn off/missing or faded etc.

My intro thread is about 2 down from yours, have a look, maybe your kart is similar to mine, although mine still have the
Asthetic/fake cage/rollbars on em..

No subs for me. I am on a Destroyer DDG78 USS Porter. My nick name is screendoor because of an incident involving a screendoor, as you can imagine.
