That's a good start  how's your welding?

Mediocre at best. I have one I got as a gift. Runs off of 110 ac. Not powerful but great for small tack welds. They say it works well on sheet metal but I think it sucks in general. I can slide to my dad's shop when I need to run a bead, there is a mig and tig welder there. Or I can let him take it to his welder and have a good weld done.Lol

What make and model 110V model do you have? We've got plenty of members that have the cheapest flux core only unit that Harbor Freight sells that have taught themselves how to weld along the way, and have built some pretty snazzy rides....

Another thing, and this is a direct quote from one of my college welding instructors. He had us open our text books, and write the first paragraph of the books intro; in cursive if we could, printed as neatly as possible if we couldn't. Correct spelling and proper punctuation would be great, but not mandatory.....

All he was looking for was how clearly we could write or print; the hand/ eye coordination skills you use to write (or print) your name are some of the same ones you use to lay a weld bead.....
And he was right. If you can actually sign your name so that others can read it, you can learn to weld.... if you really want to, that is.....

That may explain a thing or two... :lolgoku:

Picked up this kart this weekend. Not sure what brand it is but judging from a picture in the identification thread I believe it's a Carter brothers.
