Whats up guys. Some serious machines out there. Im having a simple issue. Kart cranks right up idle for a while on choke take it off still runs fine. Revs nicely. Put the chain and clutch on and it wants to wide open go without any throttle. Take the clutch off. Back to normal. Its a torquemaster clutch. Brand new. The original one i had on did the same thing so i bought a new one obviously for no reason since its doing the same thing. Help please. Trying to get my sons out and about.

Try turning the idle down.

The idle is as far down as it can possibly go

Generic max-torque clutch. 10 teeth. 60 bucks.

Maybe chain is too tight or need to oil the clutch just a drop of two

And unless I missed something....What engine? How can a clutch cause an engine to rev? What is your Native language?

The problem was the spring between the throttle linkage tothe linkage that controls fuel on the carb was to tight. Essentially the engine was idled too high due to the spring so i had to lengthen the spring to bring down the idle speed.
