Hi everyone,

I registered on this forum because I'm starting a kart project. Google was always pointing at this website, so I decided to register. I'm a machinist and mechanical engineer. I'm starting this project with my best friend.
We bought an old tractor with a 12hp briggs & stratton motor. We would like to start from this frame, wheel and motor. (with some modification)
I'd like to get a gearbox to get the output shaft horizontal, and then add a torque converter. (I'm open to idea)

I'll start a build thread as soon as I get pictures.

What is the current drive line of the tractor, peerless gearbox or transaxle?

I think, I'm going to get an horizontal motor, the gearbox of the motor is useless. (not working)
