Hello everyone, I bought my first gokart on craigslist and have fulfilled my childhood dreams! It's an old red fox frame probably Manco I'm assuming. It's got the Predator 212 engine on it and has a torque converter. I put some nice knobby carlisle tires on it. Tinkered with the mechanical brake and got that working, wasn't working at all when I bought it. Also reupholstered the seat, complete with faux fur collar . I think my next step is to add air intake, exhaust, and a jet kit. I've been looking at the 3 stage J pipe from ombwarehouse.com, is anybody running this on their predator? I'm curious as to if it fits, a rep from the company said I may have to redrill one of the mounting holes. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as I'm new to this hobby, thanks in advance!

gopowersports sells a kit (has a staged header) that fits the predator that is less expensive than the one at omb. I have seen these types of headers on the builders prepared classes as they offer the most HP gains. I think the ends can receive a muffler too (RLV) if it is too loud.

Have also seen some nice headers on ebay.

any hondagx200/clone kit will fit the predator with the exception of the header. The bolt spacing is different so you will need to file and or dremel out the ones that are for the honda/clones.

Thanks KartFab, I got anxious and ordered the 3 stage J pipe from ombwarehouse. Looks like I'll be playing with a dremel in the near future. Thanks for the advice anyways! A lot of good stuff on this forum.

Well my goodies came in today. I'm sure I'll be seeking advice in the near future I have very little experience with stuff like this. Thank goodness for this forum. Do I need to put some k&n filter oil on this filter?

Just did a top speed test run. The gps says 45 mph! I was not expecting that much gain! I had to hop in my car afterwards to make sure it wasn't off and it isn't. It was going 38 before any of this, but still impressed.

Man that's a nice sound. I had a lot of fun tinkering with that thing that I had an itch to tinker with something else. Put it on Craigslist for 48 hours, got 650 for it. I'm thinking minibike this time around and I'm sure I'll be utilizing the plethora of knowledge on this forum yet again!
