Hello from Kansas

I've decided to restore the old go kart my parents got for my brother and I many years ago. I'm hoping to learn a little bit about this particular one. Make, model, years produced, etc
Feel free to let me know what section of this forum would be the most appropriate.

that's a Kelch Corp steering wheel.. more often than not to be found on Manco's
So chances are it's a Manco kart ..
in that case it's either a 3 or 5 horse flathead Briggs
in a 723 or 725 respectively
(might as well be a 783 [3horse]) they share the same parts manual
parts manual I have is from Nov. 1996

so the karts are 'around that year of birth' as well

But with the body on it's hard to tell tbh.. so pop it off and let's see the chassis
especially since your's appears to be larger than the one's depicted in the manual
but changes like that sometimes just don't show up in a manual ...

no not a Manco, that looks to be a Carter Chassis...
1805-2215
(tecumseh instead of briggs engine 6horse I think, 1805 is the chassis and 2215 means white truck...)
easy to confirm since carters 18x5 series is the only kart I know that came with a 1:3 chain reduction on the steering
if you have such (12T to 36T sprockets on the steering) it'll be a Carter Brothers 1805-2215
