WELCOME and can't wait to see that machine fly once you get a 7 hp 212cc Preditor engine installed!!! Glad to see that don't weigh a ton like some boat anchors I've seen around here :D

I'm with Anickode. It is most definitely a Tecumseh 3, 4, or 5 HP. Flathead too.

You guys are disappointing. :rolleyes:

Thanks for the welcome.
It's a 3 1/2 hp Tecumseh. I got it from one of the two lucky brothers that found it under their Christmas tree back in 1976. He said he tried to start in back in 1995 but no luck so I sure it sat with gas still in it for years. I'm hope the restoration goes smooth so I can surprise my nine and ten year old boy's with it. Plus I got to build a Dad size kart too!

Cut the frame, weld some slightly smaller pipe inside the frame. Put some bolt holes and make a telescoping frame. Your brake and throttle cables will require some slack.
