Good afternoon!

I purchased a shifter kart frame in which my plans are to mount a 2010 ninja 250 engine to it. I'm very new to these karts and all the parts associated with them. It seems that I got ahold of a frame that was used for dirt racing, larger tires and wheels etc.

Question #1- Can I run asphalt tires with the current wheels? I have two 12X8.00-6 wheels and two 11X6.00-6 wheels. or an I limited to dirt tires?

Question#2- Where is the cheapest place to get a larger seat? My current seat is WAY too small for me.

Also I noticed that the right spindle is longer than the left by 1". Any ideas why?

Like I said, I'm very new to these karts and a quick google search finds tires for my wheels but they are only rated for dirt tracks... I really don't want to purchase new wheels and tires to make it work but if that's the only way then I will get them.

Uh oh. A newbie with a shifter kart.

Parts are kind of generic and universal for karts.

Your spindles are probally different cause going around a circle requires larger outside tires and offsetting​.

Post some pics. We like to see your toys.

1. I don't see why not. Whatever tire you can get to fit, run with 'em.

2. Try BMI and GoPowerSports for seats. I'm not a big fan of the form-fitting fiberglass seats but prefer something more open.

Here is some pictures of the current situation. I've been cleaning and removing corrosion on the frame today. As well as assessing the bearings, which the two rear bearings are toast.

Also, do you guys think that I can match a sprocket with the one that is stock on the ninja engine? Mainly worried about sprocket pinch matching a shifter kart rear sprocket.
