Hi everyone my names dliverance and I'm addicted to karts.....err....I'm addicted to anything with wheels and a motor.

Ever since I was a kid (I'm 28 now) I've had a strange fascination with go karts. I've had 4 so far and my most recent one was about 6 years ago. They were all powered by 5hp briggs motor and they were all driven by one wheel. Fun but nothing to jump up in a fit of joy about.

A few months ago I picked up an older chassis on Craigslist for $75. It was a sweet deal because it had a solid rear axle. I then purchased a yamaha kt100 and started my kart project.

I took the kart from this (first pic)

To this (second pic).

I was getting pretty close to having a running kart and our of nowhere a wild sodikart appeared on Craigslist

The sodi had beefier tubing, 35mm axles, front brakes, and I whole lot of other things I would have spent a fortune on for the other kart.

Long sorry short I sold the kt100 and picked up a "6.5" cloned motor and now I'm a few parts away from actually driving my own kart again. Here she is (fifth pic)

Welcome to the forum deliverance. That is a sweet kart, and that motor should make you fly. Is it one of those hopped up clones you can buy?

Thank you and yes, it's a dupor clone. It's supposed to make 11hp at 5000 rpms. Previous owner had a gx160 head installed along with the pipe and arc billet filter adapter. I'm not sure what else he has done to it tho.
