Hi everyone, I'm Joe Laughlin living in Palm Bay, Fl. I stubbled across this forum while doing research for my project of building three karts. I raced karts in the Carolinas back in the 80's with my dad (margay & A-frame). Before moving to modifieds on dirt track. Recently went to a few parks with racing karts with my son in law, and my 11 year old daughter and got bit by the racing bug again. So here I am at 43 trying to get back into the purest form of racing since my 11 year old wants me to build karts for us, and my son in law's favorite pastime is karting parks. Wish me luck.

Have you checked out kits from gopowersports? Easiest way to get identical Karts for you all to build together, 3 benches and a box of wrenches

I did, but I'm more interested in doing something custom. I'm out of work for the next six months with a borken tib/fib and I really want to design and build something unique for each of us. I'll be building all 3 myself. I'm leaning towards something similar to the dap gp a-frame design, but built from square tubing. They will not be identical, as my 11 year old daughter will start with a stage 1 predator 212, the one for my son in law will get a pair of stage 2 212's and mine will get a pair of stage 3's.Have you checked out kits from gopowersports?
