So I'm "kinda" new to go karts, in the sense that I've been on a few, worked on a few, but never actually owned one...yet. lol
I have plenty of experience working on cars, from general tune-ups to rebuilding an automatic transmission, so I really don't mind getting my hands dirty.
I'm currently serving in Alaska (hence the title) and will probably be moving within a year or two, but until then I've got an idea for building a small go kart that I might need a little bit of advice on... It's going to be the kart equivalent of a ratty muscle car, eventually.
More on that later, cuz that thing is gonna get its own thread.
I'm on a few other forums, you might recognize the user name.

glad you are here. Most of us try to be helpful around here, just ask away with any questions or issues you have along the building process.
