Hello Everyone,

I guess you could consider this a delayed, new member post as I joined in 06-21-2013 and I am just getting around to it. =)

I enjoy building and designing things. I also love technology and learning new things. By education, I am both a technician and an electrical engineer. I have wanted to build a go kart since I was little and it is about time I get around to it. My son will also be joining the forum and together we will build both of our first go kart. =)

I hope to learn a lot from DIY Go Karts, share some of my excitement, and maybe teach others a few things. This will be a great reason to learn 3D CAD, gas engines, and welding. It will even be better when I teach my son these things (then my other 4 kids as they get older).

I took last Wednesday off and I am beginning to teach myself 3D CAD. Fusion 360 is amazing (and free)!

My first design in the morning was a tire.
My last design at Midnight was a go kart for the snow.

Both are more for learning 3D CAD than serious designs but I thought I would share. Pictures attached.

Regards,
Drffreeze

Thanks mckutzy!

It looks like I will have to keep an eye out for bob58o posts as it sounds like they are just what I am looking for. =)
