hi i just joined and wanted to say hello. i am building a 1969 rupp dart kart originally it was a chevy jr given away at a dealer in the early 70's i have had it about 12 years , the original 3.5 died put in a briggs 5hp kids had some fun , i disassembled for rebuild , it sat 8 yrs lol. currently the fiberglass body is ready for paint , going with the john player look black and gold, i got a rotary sachs 303 out of a snowmobile , and that sucker is going on .20 hp or so , i modified the engine mount , and test sat the engine on , it fits just barely lol need a tank , and a clutch idea ,then just linkage etc, stay tuned maybe ....

Wait. you tell us you built a really cool vintage kart with a 20hp Sachs Rotary engine, and then say stay tuned MAYBE. Please tell us more. and share your pictures. Sounds like a neat kart.
I am a neo luddite lol. i will try to get some pics posted if i can figure out how to get my diesel powered 3.1 megapixel camera to download to my apple macintosh . progress will be slow as i have just moved and the kart went into temporary storage after the engine mount mods and a quick test fit , the exhaust is going to be an issue , everything else should be rather straight forward , pick a tank make some mounts hook up the fuel line , pick a clutch that will fit , get the right chain , drill the mounts and bolt it down ,run the throttle and brake ,and go hurt myself lol i may have to modify the body to fit over the engine not sure yet . and may try water alcohol cooling mist injection for the air cooling ,
