Hi I'm new to go karts, as a kid I always wanted one. now I have my first one. Now that I'm almost 30. My buddy built it and proceeded to let it sit in the weather for several years, about 5. I got it and put a predator 212 (the 5 Gp Briggs was seized) on it with a Hilliard heavy duty clutch. And replaced throttle cable a built a brake linkage. Just got it going last night , wahoo. Anyways glad to be here looking to learn much.

According to the tach I just put on and the speed calculator on agk's website i go 40down my driveway and and 30 up.I don't have gone to a long enough flat spot to get a tach reading on level ground. Now that I took the governor off I can finally get some speed out of the thing. unfortunatly now it is dying when im cornering. not sure if it is the oil sensor, or a fuel issue. haven't had a chance to disable the oil sensor to eliminate that yet. Any ideas. It doesn't sputter or anything just dies.

Its a yellow wire coming out of the lower portion of the block. Can't miss it. Cut or disconnect.

So got some good weather the kart goes 34mph on flat level road. Limited by what must be valve float. But cutting the oil switched solved my problem.
