Hello folks new here and looking for help with my manco kart I have been fixing up for my kiddo. Been reading alot of the posts on steering setups. Seems like I got some work to do suggestions welcome. Basically the kart steers better to the right than the left. The kart mainly pushes instead of steering to the left. From my research on here I need to change the steering where it mounts to separate the tie rods. I also need to add some caster as this has none. Do you think just modifying the steering will be suffice enough to help my issue or will I have to cut off the spindle mounts and weld them for caster?

Ummmm.....no and no. First off, there's no problem where you are looking. One rod or two, they both operate off the same fulcrum.

Second, we need more information. Is it a live axle or dead? Pictures standing right in front of the kart looking down with both wheels in the picture pointed straight ahead, turned to the right max, and to the left max.

EDIT: Actually, the picture of the wheels turned right you supplied is pretty much what we need straight and left. Also, a pic of the whole kart.

BTW, Welcome to the forum.

Wanted to add more pictures but its not very user friendly off my phone. It's a manco it has a solid rear axle or live axle. Both wheels straight both wheels point straight maybe a tiny bit toe in. Left and right both wheels are parallel and not at different angles. I took a picture of where they mount to the steering shaft because everything I have read leads me to they need to have some separation to how they are mounted there. The exact amount I do not know. More pictures to come.
