I’ve been crying for the last 2 weeks I thought you guys were gone forever. Don’t ever leave me again. You’re the closest things I got to friends. Sad ain’t it.
Nothin wrong with that man! People in the real world SUCK!
I would have been more concerned if there was a domain error or domain for sale that would redirect us.
After a couple days I started to look if the domain was for sale. Google said it WAS the first time I checked. What a crappy feeling that was. I know I aint been around too long but simply the knowledge and experience I felt was lost...

There are 3 sites I visit multiple times a day. Here, montecarloforum.com that Ive been a member of, for over 15 years, and Racedepartment (overtake.gg).
Dont know what I would do if I lost any of them and MCF is so dead anymore, I assume well get the announcement any day. Thats going to SUUUUUCK!

Anyway, my point is, can we download portions of the website?

We could archive the forum. But we would have to go through each page of each thread and archive them. Whenever I click news articles, I put them through the https://archive.ph/ website. That way I can bypass a lot of the paywalls as well as look at articles before they get changed. The Wayback machine can help as well. But I think that requires a different process to archive. I'm not sure how well a forum would work on it.

Some build threads from Minibuggy.net were partially archived but not thoroughly so you'd only get a page or two before nothing else pops up.

If google had the domain for sale ”once” someone bought it if it is not for sale anymore.

Now I would look up who owns this domain… If it’s not the original site creator we’re cooked.

With the limited information I can find, there hasn't been any recent changes of ownership with the forums domain. So Robert still owns the site fortunately.

I doubt any domain is going to get listed for sale if the original domain owner is still paying. So either the domain was listed and pulled before someone bought it.

Or Robert bought it.

I wonder if Landuse could get ahold of Itsid (Alex) to help with the spam problem atleast? Alex is pretty smart with this technical stuff.
Alex hasn't been on in a hot minute. Last he was on, his area in Germany was seeing pretty massive flooding.

I have this strong feeling this website is going to stay like this indefinitely.
If that's the case, trying to come up with better insults for these scam accounts is going to be a must. Really is unfortunate that Robert hasn't come back here. I'm grateful that he's still keeping up with the bills to keep this place active, but it's a bummer that one outage, has caused an avalanche of nonsense.

They are bots that will not read or acknowledge any replies. It actually may be a bunch of bots fired up by one big bot.

Even simply clicking there post and then scrolling leaves the door open for you to accidentally click one of there possibly dangerous links.

I'm so lost and uninformed that I have no idea of what you just said. On the other hand, Boy am I glad that it's up and running again. Great group of people on here, and I really missed conversing with all of you.

There is a website that is called the waybackmachine it’s a digital save file of stuff on the internet from way back that can’t be accessed. I would assume diygokarts is already on the waybackmachine?

Because it’s still actively storing stuff I’m pretty sure.

I could find a total of two pages archived when I checked.

In all honesty it’s mostly bots.. The bots are actually creating there own bots to fill in the gaps.

The honeypot scams where your told an open crypto wallet key. So you log into the crypto wallet and see thousands of dollars in front of you!! So you buy a bit of eth to pay the gas fee to claim the thousands of dollars and boom once you pay for the eth to use as gas the bot swipes your purchased eth.. The honeypot continues..
