Greetings all. I'm fairly new to this hobby OR I am back into it after a long span of time between my teens and the present day.

New hobby, fueled by an adult cash flow equals more stuff! The stuff in this review thread will be go-kart/mini bike related or peripheral goods; stuff you might use in the garage, et cetera.

I just bought my second one of these, a VP Racing 5 gallon fuel jug, square. Frustrated with modern plastic jugs, how throw-away they are, flimsy but pricey, I wanted something to last a while and POUR. I get a nice 10% discount from xtremediesel dot com where I bought both from, but MSRP pricing isn't quite as grandiose for these racing fuel jugs as you might think. They can be had from several generic makers too but I chose a glitzy brand name.

I really like these. The cap on the top is huge, about the size of a coffee cup making the neck wide and so there's plenty of room to see the gas going in from the pump nozzle. So far, I am not able to detect a gasoline smell from this jug and it definitely doesn't leak or drip fuel but that may change in the long run. Taller than the usual fuel jug, they handle really well ergonomically and are very easy to carry and don't really bump against your leg either.

Supposedly you can empty one of these into a race car in well under a minute or something

I set these aside for 100% gasoline use so the small engines get the good stuff.

6 Oz. Pump Oiler

I bought one of these nifty old fashioned oil cans from HF. I always wanted one and could've spent more on really nice USA made ones but this one made in India will do. These deliver a drop or two of oil right where you need it without overspray and mess from aerosol lubes and those little red straws.

Filled mine with 30 weight oil and it does a dandy job for clutch bushings, heim joints, pedal linkages and all the rest on karts.

Takes a little time to get it primed and pumping the first time but it still seems to be chugging along (knock on wood).

I have that exact same oil can, I really like it... I also use it for oiling my clutches on my bikes...

I however have to turn the nozzle hose upwards or it drains the hose out when full after use...
Other than that... Very good...

The Measu-Funnel. Is this a product for a non-existent problem? Something you didn't know you needed? Maybe.

I have finally used it, twice no less, and I love it. Insert the nozzle into the oil filler hole on your engine, add oil to the proper fill line on the graduated funnel then turn the release knob and watch the oil go into the sump, nary spilling a drop. It's got a cap for both ends so the funnel doesn't get contaminated between uses with dead flies, sawdust or other detritus.

Knuckle Duster Gloves

You gotta have gloves right? We're playing dangerous games here in this hobby and our hands are like gold. Don't be a fool and go barehanded.


Wasn't searching for gloves with quite as much a cool/gee whiz factor as these but I figured I'd give them a try.

I was wondering if those shiny bits were really steel or 'metal' and yep, they are. As you can see the gloves are motocross style and armored and have reinforced areas over the front of each finger and thumb and there's a useful thermoplastic scuff pad for the heel of your hand. The area over the top of the wrist is also reinforced with a hard plastic fitting and the metallic looking insert that says Madbike Racing Equipment is probably a piece of aluminum or mild steel. All these add ons are designed to take the brunt of the road rash.

These are pretty dadgum nice for CHINA and great for the price. Fit is snug and secure.


Can't wait to torture them in the real world.

That thing IS a funnel so I don't quite grasp your logic.

I have no patience for inaccessible oil filler caps (got two now that are buried behind mini bike down tubes/frame members) and the pour, wait, pour, wait, check oil level, then wiping up the stuff that spills out if you overflow it regimen.

Plus I now have 8 engines to feed and weekend warrior buddies to help use up my oil. So it will be a regular routine.

Your results may vary.

And to top it off all I'm saying is la dee da, it works just like it's supposed to.

I meant as far as the new gas cans go. I just leave the top off and pour it in a funnel, or for the big mouth easy reach caps I dont even use a funnel. I have nerve damage in my hands those spring loaded slide things are the worst.

I never looked into why, I assumed stupid people and lawsuits shoulda known the epa. Im not real popular with them. They dont like wood stoves either. They have ways to implement agendas.

My barber is 86 you should hear him rant. He calls it a dictatorship.

I finally caved in and bought one especially after they were reduced to $25.00 and free shipping, undercutting his competition.

It's a pipe, it's shiny and what purty welds, aye? Comes with what you see, new nuts and lock washers. This is not a tuned pipe in my understanding just an exhaust pipe, nice and noisy. I like that it points straight back for some jet thrust. Can't let anything go to waste, can we?

Kroop's Goggles

Got some of these a long time ago but the elastic strap didn't survive. Bought another pair for the nostalgia.

These are the quintessential sky diving/jockey goggles and the beauty in 'em is that they are lightweight, comfortable and wrap-around. Most moto cross goggles have less than 180° visibility. Plus they're just bulkier. My new pair (bottom) are minus the brass side vents but just have holes.

I got mine from Kroop's (USA!) but there's cheap Chinese knockoffs all over the web and it makes more sense as these are quality but of disposable quality.
