ya,im really constrained by my living situation....im in a condo, and my build area is 8x10...have to haul all my equipment in and out every time I work on a project(my 220 outlet is 30ft. away from my weld area),needless to say,its a PAIN!....my gate is 33" wide,so anything I build, has to fit or get tilted to get out, thats why I have to consider the next build carefully....a kart would take the entire build area,so would a tandem engine chopper(not to mention double the cost of the drive train,on a side by side setup)....so probably gonna be awhile before I decide which way to go.....I do have a question tho, people have been telling me to take the governor and oil sending unit out, now,im OLD school learned,(i'm 60)and common sense tells me they engineered these things IN for a reason....(i'd just as soon take out my trucks oil sending unit)but,if you guys think I can get another 5mph+,by removing the governor,it might be worth it........

The oil sensor is a nice "engineered in" thing, If your predator is sitting stationary on a truck running a pump, compressor, tree brush shredder etc. But on a kart every time you turn the oil sloshes to one side and the oil sensor kills the motor. However rewired it is a great remote kill switch. Just wire it to a momentary switch on the steering wheel and it will instantly kill the engine at the touch of a button. Unlike the old switches where you have to hold down a button 3-5 seconds to ground out the spark.
And the governor...
